Why we exist
North 24th and South 24th Streets have long been home to some of the most vibrant economic corridors for Black and Latino residents in the region. That history is still here — in the culture, the businesses, the families, and the people continuing to build.
Decades of segregation and disinvestment did real harm, and the effects are still felt today. Omaha currently ranks first among American cities for the number of African Americans living with low income. Strategic investment in our community’s emerging businesses and professionals is how we address that — and it’s exactly what we’re here to do.
